My parents Les and Mary Atkinson came to Tennant Creek in 1955. Dad was the Mill Superintendent at Nobles Nob and later the Mine Metallurgical Engineer at Peko. Our neighbours at Peko were the Light family.
On retirement, Dad purchased a 1969 Valiant Dodge utility from Jack and Margaret Bromage which he drove to Gosford, NSW. I now own that car, it has 70,000 miles on the odometer and it’s still in good condition.
